In the midst of graduating from college and incessantly searching and applying for jobs, I decided to undertake another monumental task: reorganizing my entire room. I figured I might as well get rid of all my unwanted, unused junk now, since I’m hoping to be moving to a downtown apartment in the next few months (fingers crossed!). After many trips to GoodWill and a garage sale, I have finally rid my room of any useless possessions. Now I’ve moved on to organizing the things that I kept and starting to transition my room into a more “adult” space. No more boy band posters on this girl’s walls! I had three boxes filled with tickets and wristbands from concerts and sporting events I’ve been to over that past few years that I what to keep but without taking up valuable floor space. Thus, the shadow box! I have a little bit of room left for more tickets to be added as I attend more events this year. Here’s a tip for the ticket shadow box: prioritize what tickets you want to show in the front of the glass because the vast majority of mine are covered up in the back of the shadow box. I sorted through all of the boxes and made a pile of tickets from things that were special to me and made sure to lay those on the front of the glass and pile everything else into the shadow box behind them. That way I can see all of my favorite ones, and I just know that all the rest are in there somewhere. Happy crafting!

My boyfriend surprised me with purple roses this weekend! It was definitely a swoon-worthy move. They are happily living on my dresser now, and I have to say I don’t think anything cheers up a room more than a vase filled with pretty flowers.

This past weekend we had a little barbeque at my house to celebrate my college graduation (eep!) with my family. I just couldn’t resist posting a photo of the adorable graduation cupcakes I made for the dinner party, in my college colors and everything. How cute are they?! My aunt said they were almost too cute to eat… almost being the key word since everyone who came ate at least two!
